Part-ML continuing airworthiness for a training fleet

Part-ML is the continuing-airworthiness regime that applies to most light aircraft used in training, those not managed under Part-CAMO. It covers the aircraft’s maintenance programme, the Airworthiness Review Certificate (ARC), airworthiness directives, and the recording of hours and cycles. FlyerOS models these against the schedule, so an aircraft approaching a due check, an expiring ARC or an open defect stops being bookable before it can be flown out of limits.

  • Each aircraft is maintained to an approved or declared maintenance programme.
  • A valid Airworthiness Review Certificate (ARC) is held and kept current.
  • Applicable airworthiness directives and life-limited items are tracked and actioned by their limits.
  • Hours, cycles and landings are recorded accurately, because the maintenance forecast depends on them.

Questions schools ask

Is FlyerOS a Part-ML CAMO or a maintenance system?
No. FlyerOS is the operational system of record; it holds airworthiness status and enforces it in the schedule. It does not replace your maintenance organisation or sign off maintenance.
What happens when an aircraft’s ARC expires mid-week?
The aircraft stops being dispatchable from the moment of expiry, and any booking against it after that instant fails with the reason on the screen of the person trying.
Does it handle aircraft outside Part-ML too?
The airworthiness model is the same regardless of regime: you record the programme, the review certificate and the limits that apply to each aircraft, and the schedule respects them.
