Checking in a flight
How to check a flight in on the operations board, and what check-in confirms before dispatch.

Check a flight in from the operations board when the people arrive and it is going ahead. Check-in moves the flight from booked to checked-in and readies it for the pre-dispatch gate.
Checking in
- Open Operations, the live board for today.
- Find the flight and choose Check in.
- Confirm the crew and aircraft are as booked, and adjust if something has changed.
Check-in is where the day meets the plan. If the student is flying with a different instructor, or on a different aircraft, set that now so the pre-dispatch gate checks the flight that is actually happening.
What the board shows
The board runs left to right through the day: scheduled, checked in, dispatched, airborne, returned, closed. You can see at a glance what is waiting, what is out, and what still needs a decision.
