Weather and scrubbed flights

How FlyerOS brings weather into the day and records a flight scrubbed for weather distinctly from one scrubbed for tech, so your utilisation figures tell the truth.

Last reviewed

Weather is part of running a flying day, so FlyerOS brings it into the day rather than leaving it on a separate website you check by hand.

Weather where the day is

Conditions are surfaced alongside the day's flights, so the person running the board is looking at the weather and the schedule together, not switching between two screens to decide whether the morning is on.

Scrubbed for weather is not scrubbed for tech

When a flight does not go, why it did not go matters. FlyerOS records a flight scrubbed for weather distinctly from one scrubbed because the aircraft went tech, or a no-show, or an instructor illness. They are different problems, and lumping them together hides which one is costing you.

So your figures are honest

Because the reason is recorded, your utilisation and cancellation figures can tell the truth: how much flying you lost to weather in a month, and how much to tech, as two separate answers rather than one vague total. See Reports and analytics.
