The day’s board shows four lessons. The 09:00 is complete, the 12:00 is checked in, the 14:00 is planned, and the 10:30 lesson advances through its states (planned, checked in, airborne) with the “flying now” count following it as it goes.

The day’s board shows each flight’s live status, so anyone at the desk can answer who is up, who is back and what is next without a phone call or a whiteboard.
Check-in, dispatch, close-out.
A flight moves through the same states every time (checked in, cleared to go, airborne, complete) and the board moves with it, so nothing sits in a state nobody is watching.
The gate is real.
Dispatch will not release a flight the operation shouldn’t fly: an aircraft that’s gone tech, a document that’s lapsed, a pilot who isn’t current. The reason is on the screen, not in someone’s memory.
Close-out captures the day.
Times, the Hobbs or tach, and the lesson result are captured at close-out, so the training record and the invoice both come from what actually happened, not a re-key that evening.

The day lives in three places and one head.
